Not the one about your travel and watching cricket at a stadium in your hometown or in any other place but the actual experiences of your’s in cricket fields. Be in domestic or in `International’
The last time I hit a 50+ runs was inApril/ May1992.
ALLLL right…er…
this is actually a good way to gloat about our own cricket…D
4 wkts in 1 over in a tournament in Karachi back in 1993 is my most memorable
a catch down near the boundary (kind of the deep long on position) in a night match on a dark semi lit grass field that won the match for our team back in 1995
Well when i was like 8 9 years old my cousin took me to the ground where all young boys were playing and he said ok ur in my team u will be playing last i said ok
now the sitatuon was like this that my turn came to bat i didnt knew how to bat at that time and we needed one run to win the game my partner said u just hit the ball with ur bat and just run
and i did it and we won the match in the end they gave me some candies haha :D
it's been a long time since i played this sport...i used to play cricket with my father when i was little and later on with friends...last time it was in my high school, i always preferred batting.
With 6 runs needed off 3 balls, I was the last man in…a newbiew @ the school, fresh from abroad (UAE) in pak, and not having played any hard-ball cricket ever (but had enough experience with tape-ball cricket ) no one expected much…the match was between our class (cambridge I) and grade 9…our class only had 11 students, so they had no choice but to include me in the match I hit a 4 on the first ball that I faced, and that took everyone by surprise, including myself the next ball, I got the 2 runs and our team won…
I was moved up the order for the next game…and over the next few games, based on my run-a-ball strike rate and a 25+ runs average, i was promoted up as an opener for the class team for the rest of the year, where I continued to do well…
My first catch ever in a proper match again was also the same year…it was the same kind as shahid afridi’s running catch in 2009 VS New Zealand everyone told me it was great catch at that time, but I didn’t realize myself that it was a hard thing to do…saw the ball sailing through the air, knew it wouldn’t get to the boundary, thought I could catch it, and ran after it as fast as I could…simple as that
That was a good year…not outstanding, but we won more matches than we lost, which is all that mattered…we were no push overs…our class could hold up on our own against other classes, with more students and better teams
:D…not only that, I used to be a huge fan. I made a big scrapbook with pics collecting from newspapers and magazines of all the cricketers from all the teams who played 96’s worldcup.

MASHALLAH!!!! I watched the 96 final in Gadaffi stadium. Do you still follow it with the same passion.
Really? The quarter final was really disappointing though. I left it completely after 98. I believe there’s not much left in cricket except the scandals of course.
I played till my 12th Grade. Probably 1-2 matches here n there after 12th too.
I always preffered batting too but I was not very good at it. Hardly made any 40-50 . I was not good in bowling either I was just average at playing it. But yes my fielding was very good coz i was very quick n fast runner plus a good catcher.
I remember many of the matches we couldnt play till end , rather stopped in middle of the game, throwing our bats on the ground and shouting at each other RONDHI team, RONDHI … RONDHI … omg i m using this word RONDH after such a long long time
SL winning it was good. More than the match the organisation at the ground left a lot to be desired. A funny thing happened when I came to watch the final. I flew in from Dubai. On the same flight the Indian delegation also flew in and amongst othere there was Kapil Dev and Nawab of pautaudi. When we got off the plane I was walking with them and the customs and immigration officers thought I was part of the Indian delegation and so they gave me all the VIP treatment and I was out of the airport in no time.
