Hmmm.. I thought you just said that if someone goes on the back foot and plays the ball high on the mid-on, that will be called a “pull”??

okay, may be I’m using incorrect term, when I said “mid-wicket” I meant mid-on (not the off-side).

PS: I just checked the definitions of field AREAS, and it turns out that the areas I meant to refer for hook and pull are sweeper (leg side) to fine leg.
