My favourite one is in Pashto (the language I don’t know). When we hear Lori from our mother at young age, we don’t understand the wordings. Its the feeling that makes a child sleep.

grew up hearing this from my dad, to wake us up…maybe if he sang it like this strings version, we wouldn’t have been so annoyed!!!

^^^my ammi & papa both used to sing this to us (we’re 3 sisters, no brothers!)

we are HUGE amitabh fans in our family, we used to have a whole VHS collection of his movies from the late 70’s/early 80’s

this is another one that reminds me of my papa:

I don’t have alot of active memories of my papa from childhood, my parents seperated 3 times before they finally divorced when I was 15, so being the yougest, i spent most of my time with my ammi, but I can’t ever forget papa singing! The few precious years he had with my kids before he passed away in 2008, he spent singing loris to my boys as well :wub:

i’m not much of a singer myself, lol! but when my oldest, Ammar, was a baby, he loved the dhun from this song! Swades was released the year he was born, and whenever the trailer would play on ZeeTv, he’d crawl over to the tv and start bouncing…lol! so my husband and i would sing or hum this to him while putting him to sleep…at least SRK is good for something…heehheeee

:naraz: Jhunjhun Lori is basically something soothing to make children comfartable and sleepy. So Hip hop doesn’t work in this case.
