For my nieces and nephews I have the following names:
Lishi, Ee-I, Inshi-Winshi, Kaddu, Chilli pepper. Pallo-jaani, baby-jaan are repeats. There are other names too, but these are enough to start with.

My kid's nick name is Dudubaby .. everyone close to us calls her that :D

My nephews nicknames by me are “their name” with a “U” or “I” at the end.

In real life, maaooon (as in maaooon billi) for the son
And bilquees and Gul Bahar for the girl… I know a nick name is meant to be a short name of affection… But somehow that’s what comes out of my mouth when ISee my baby girl 
none of those names are close to her real name
Everyone else calls her Ellie belly (her name being Eiliyah Raabail)

I call her 'shaloo' or 'shaleee' (twists from her real name).
Her khalas call her 'cheeku'.I dont know why though.

We called my son Maaoon too, it was my husband’s idea!! We call my daughter Bunny! What does Eiliyah mean?

Daughter: Izzy, izzu (her name is izzah), shoni, mommy-ki-baby, me-jaan
newborn son: baby, shonu (sometimes even shoni), bubbu

Our older one is Maro paro and younger we call younger one Sada; sada as in ours in punjabi, a playful twist to her original name Sara - this is because she used to call herself sada when she was 3-4

I have no idea why but sometimes I refer to her as “bubboo”.
I wanted to call her Noorie but in our family twisting their names is strictly forbidden… :sad:
