Can anybody tell me when they close accepting visas for umrah? I heard there is a time period before hajj in which they close down petitions for umrah, and then after hajj they open it up again after a certain amount of time? How does that work and when will it be this year? Thanks.

I think from the mid or Islamic Month 'Sha’aban till 10th of Muharram.

is this for all countries? I should have a visa application filled out before this coming july 2011?? that is when shabaan will be.

Where I do live they stop giving visas in these months. However, visit visas are open. Not sure about others countries. I say go for it and :insh: everything will be going accordingly as u planned.

this is the blessing of ALMIGHTY..upon me that i live here in ksa..
Alhumdolillah i done ummrahs and i have planed to go im march too…thanks to ALMIGHTY ALLAH for that..i iwll share my first ummah inshaAllah soon ..bcoz i can forget the moment i saw kabba for the first time..
