Lets assume the invasion of Iraq were evil. An evil act is an evil act until its done in the name of religion. Then the same act is no longer evil. So if the invasion of Iraq were done by a Muslim country and called a Jihad, you would see everyone lining up to justify it.

Has nothing to do secularism. Just because someone commits an evil act and does not cite religion as justification, does not mean they are Secular. Iraq invasion you can assume it were evil, and that is what we would all deem it to be.
I dont think you understand the point here. You are only arguing for the sake of arguing. The point is simply that assuming the Iraq war is evil, if it were done in the name of religion, it would no longer be evil. Evil acts not committed in the name of religion are simply evil. Evil acts committed under the guise of faith, is no longer evil, its justified. That is true. I dont understand why you people have sch a difficult time grasping simple concepts… Perhaps you do and you ego doesnt allow you admit the statement is correct?

I can say , for “good” (secular) people to do bad things, it takes prevalent and dominant perceptions like US has an authority to maintain peace in the world.
