Re: Share some good Philosophy Quotes

If this is an attack on me then let me tell you I’m not Brelvi…not that anything is wrong with it…but I think you totally derailed this thread.

Re: Share some good Philosophy Quotes

that’s why i said brelvi type.
and i just asked a question. I dont understand why so much regard for malala that even question cannot be digested.

Re: Share some good Philosophy Quotes

You know what, to get back at you I can label you as Salafi type but I’m not that petty and idiotic. Don’t bother to quote my posts again.

Re: Share some good Philosophy Quotes

Re: Share some good Philosophy Quotes

Thats not true, the religion allows for things too

Secularism is as ok as you are. Not really halal but its in the world -aspects of this remark are borrowed from shaykh an-najd (i qualify for your tazeem)

I am brelvi type -as were ALL the sunnis of the sub continent not so long back

Re: Share some good Philosophy Quotes

Here is one I read recently and I thought it was very meaningful:

“Life is not a problem to be solved, nor a question to be answered. Life is a mystery to be experienced.” - Alan Watts

Re: Share some good Philosophy Quotes

What does that mean? “A mystery to be experienced” … Life is an experience which has questions, answers, problems, solutions and mysteries and discoveries … but in what context is he saying that life “is a mystery”? And how would one experience that?

Re: Share some good Philosophy Quotes

Only he can tell you what he was really thinking when he said this. I think he is saying there are no one-fit-all answers and solutions. The answers and solutions depend on the life lived. We are not meant to experience one type of life so there cannot be a be all end all purpose for all of us. You must walk your path and I must walk mine but they don’t have to be one or even cross each other. This makes our liives a mystery to each other.

I could probably write a book on this and still be wrong about what he meant. Yet another example of how we are so similar yet so different in how we “experience” (read) everything. Hey another mystery!

Re: Share some good Philosophy Quotes

Oh … okay … ya know … we all gonna die - it is the surest thing in life and makes us all realise the end is same for all of us.
