Ok guys…i have been on BCP for quite sometime…first i was on diane 35 (hair growth problem) n used it for quite a long time…2yrs or more…then 3-4 months before getting married i was shifted by my OB-GYN to meliane…so i was on it till now…for say around 9 or 10 months…with both the BCPs i was Alhamdulilah quite comfortable…no distinctive side effects…except that my skin glowed 
n less hair growth 
although i felt more tired and aches all over (legs, thighs, lower abdomen, pelvic region) when i was on meliane for the past few months…dont know the reason though…might be one of an effect of BCP…
But recently i decided to get off the pills…i finished my last pack 4 weeks back…n till now i dont feel any adverse effects of leaving the pill…instead im feeling more happy, light n less bloated now-a-days…infact i have noticed that now i sleep more deeply n calmly 
i know that my regular periods will take extra weeks to start n i might get the hair growth back 
with sum acne too… hate it…hate it… hate it…but just thought of giving it a shot 
Internet although is a blessing but ignorance in some situations is no doubt a bliss…as i have gone through many forums and pages and almost every where women who came off the pill say that they felt more depressed, moody n anxious laters…with more skin problems and breakouts…(infact nothing was good except elevated sex drive 
)…these negative remarks of ladies made me worried guppies 
So i though of consulting my “trusted” guppies family…so ladies…please share your views and experiences when you went off the pill…i really want to know the truth and i know i can trust my all friends here

I came off it with no side effects like you- I was on Yasmin for a few years. My periods have gone back to being what they used to be- longer cycles, but AH not as heavy or as painful as before. Skin/hair/health etc AH are also doing great same as on pill. Yay us lol :p

I came off with no side effects as well. I've noticed periods are way lighter and virtually painfree!! (this was not the case before bcp)
I've also noticed I'm actually less ratty and more patient! that is obviously a plus!

I came off the pill without any side effects but I had gained alot of weight on the pill - started working out and lost it!! I switched to Nuvaring after though.. and am thinking of getting off that too now :)

I started to break out alot after I stopped the pill, worse than it ever was in all my teenage years :-( My periods also got a lot lighter, and I dont get as bad cramps anymore either

i put on heaps of weight when i went off the diane35...but that came off with moderate exercise...( but that may have also been that i'd just gotten married, and went to dawaats almost every weekend!).

I was on **BCP **for first six months after my wedding. I thought it would be a good contraceptive but it gave me really bad mood swings and nausea. i stopped taking it after that and i didn't get my periods for about 4 months or so. its called post pill amenorrhea and sometimes your hormone become weird after stopping the pill so your periods might not come for a while. Other than that, there wer no side effects after coming off it.

to rest of you....when was the first natural cycle u had after getting off the pill???and did any of u experienced nausea or felt tired after stopping the pills????

i came off the pill and then patch with no side effects. Lucky for me, the bloatiness was all gone..but now im just fat :(.
Lucky u… my last pill was 7 of may…had my periods on 10th…n now from few days…i have been noticing that my breasts are sore…im bloated…im tired than usual…lower back n leg aches…n a little nauseatic sometimes…i was thinking that can i be pregnant by any chance but i have googled and found that these symptoms can be felt even after stopping the birth control…thatswhy im asking here that is there someone else too who felt this wayyy??? :halo:

actually a month after taking BCP i did have those symptoms and did think i was preggers..but i wasnt. Happened again the next month or the month after (i forgot)..wasnt pregnant either...i read that it coudl be a chemical pregnancy, but not a real one.
just dont stress and dont let this whoel baby making take over ur life...do other things and enjoy ur time before u get pregnant.
