Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

jawans don't drink? what world do you live in? There are whole industries running supllying them. may be if you spend some time around the barracks you will know.

khanbax - what proof would you like? dated receipts?

mad scientist - so what if it is constitution? this won't be the 1st time amending it for Musharaf would it

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

Didn't read that...

GS should organize a protest...and from there organize something bigger....and then would we should just throw our government.

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

whether its legalized or not

those who want to drink will drink and those who wont won't

only difference is that those who drink won't break the law

although this will lead to a rise in domestic violence

i am personally against this

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

Most Pakistanis born in Canada don't drink but almost every Pakistani student who has come from Pakistan drinks and does everything sinful

This is just a sad reality

The more you keep something away from someone the more they are attracted to it

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

.. and install me as the Prime Minister? Thank you, my people! :)

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

True. But Musharaf has never been able to amend the constitution by decree, because his political party doesn’t have enough seats in parliament to do it.

All of his constitutional changes in the past have had to be approved by getting support from his opponents in Parliament. Previously the MMA chose to support his changes.

None of the opposition parties would support such a change in the law because it’s too easy to score points in their favour by opposing it.

At any rate, no mention has been made in this in Parliament ever execept by a single person on a single day earlier this month. It’s pretty clear that person was airing his personal view rather than any idea of Musharraf or his government.

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

Well your claim is baseless. At one hand you are saying that people are being discouraged from keeping beards on the other hand you say that max are drinkers. One can be right as if most of them are drinkers surely they will not be interested in keeping beards. Do not produce statistics from your brain. if you know 8 people in army who drink out of 10 you know, then you are surely in a bad company.

you are making a claim about barracks. are you sure. are you talking about indian army or pakistan? This is the most baseless claim i have heard in this forum. Are you army man?

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

^ hein? I didn't say most people in the army have longbeards....I am against longbeards even in civilian world. The mullahs and the uber interpreters of God's will (all self appointed for personal gains) are whom I refer to as longbeards. If the same crummy lot enter the military also you can kiss the country goodbye.

As to the military men drinking, it is so obvious and a prevalant common fact that you have to have more than 3 of the senses closed to have ignored it (or you have had no contact or exposure).

I recommend you see the Wardi Wala speech

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

Isn’t this funny! they closed my thread http://www.paklinks.com/gs/showthread.php?t=241046

Now that the Government is discussing the topic, will the mod who closed my thread also close down the government of Pakistan? I know you can’t but will you support that idea? Just so that you are not perceived as openly double tongued

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

MISINFORMATION/IGNORANCE. The thread name "sharab being legalized in Pakistan" is untrue. Nowhere in the Urdu text its says so. It was a suggestion from one of the ministers thats all. Get your facts right.

Re: Sharab being leagalized in Pakistan

Actually i have a good contact and exposure with the army and it seems that you work on conjectures.

If you say that 80% of officers drink, i would say that you are imagining beyond reality. The number of drinkers in army is same proportion as in common people. However Generals, you may be close. I think 30% may be a guess. However jawans, you are a liar and have never been close to them.

The people who make speeches are the top bosses of army and they are even less than 0.5% of the army's strength.
