Nadz, I have dealt with severe acne for 6-7 years. Was put on antibiotics but they never helped at all and I had used every single possible product/remedy that claims to treat and cure acne. I am giving you this info so that you know I went through this misery too.
Last year, I was put on Roaccutane and, though I did experienced some side-effects of the medication, it did wonders AH. Now, all I have to do is keep my pores clean. and trust me, my skin looks and feels so much healthier than ever.
Since, you are preggers, you shall not be able to take Roaccutane. Nor will you be advised to use Retinol which works wonders in keeping the pores clean and, thus, acne away. It's also wondrous in fading those reddish-brown acne scars and also keeps wrinkles at bay. Once you are done delivering and lactation INSHALLAH, you can start using it.
For now, I'll highly suggest you to look for a face wash/scrub that contains Salicylic Acid. I use Neutrogena one. Also, there is this skincare line that has been formulated by dermatologists named La Roche Posay. They have a skin lotion called Effaklar K that has 1.5% salicylic acid in it. Dab the lotion on every night. Don't forget to moisturize your skin. I use Cetaphil moisturizer.
And in order to fade those acne marks naturally, use rose hip seed oil. Trilogy has a great one.
Last, when you start using something new, give it at least 2-3 months before you make the decision whether it's for keeps or not.
