I have very very dry and damaged hair from all the coloring and highlighting and straightening I’ve done over the years. Most recently though its gotten worse… right after my botched dye and highlighting experience. I had to get it fixed and it was done less than two weeks later, so yeah just imagine the texture.
Does anyone know of a miracle shampoo and/or conditioner that I could use? I heard alot of good things about John Frieda and Suave, anyone have firsthand experience with it? Are they any good? And when buying the shampoo should I buy the ones for dry hair or for color treated hair? Im using my trusty israeli shampoo which used to work wonders on my hair, but now, not so much.
Riya you seriously need to stop colouring your hair. I know one gets addicted to it but that's the only thing way to stop the texture of the hair from getting worse.
Try using black seed oil or mustard oil once a week.
Yeah I know I did taubah for real, no more coloring. Im just gonna let it all grow out. I was even thinking of shaving it all off for a split second in all my angst… but err yeah.. not happening
Ill do the oil thing, but right after I wash it, its just sooo coarse and dry.. Im not using any conditioner right now but before I go out and buy one, I’d like someone to advise me on whats best for colortreated hair…
i was having the same problem and pretty much for the same reasons..
just last week i dyed my hair deep burgundy color and they were golden brown before tht so now i have black hair and where ever i had hilights in they are a bit maroon and i think my hair already look shinny healthy and just normal.
the only problem i still have is tht i need to get rid of my split ends but i dont know how i want my new hair cut to look like so i am just waiting cuz i dont want layers anymore and i dont wanna cut them too short so i am still trying to figure out wht to do..after tht i am done messing with my hair..and then i am never coloring my hair again..never.
^ You need a moisturizing shampoo, Dove is pretty good for "dry hair" and i recommend their conditioner as well. You can get several leave-in conditioners and relaxing balms that will keep u're hair soft and supple.
i would go with what MatineeSiren advised you in the other thread and buy an Aveda shampoo and conditioner.
i have tried loads of Salon brands but recently bought an Aveda shampoo and it really is sooo good.
Alpacin german made shampoo is also gud,,available for dandruff,,hair falling problem ect (u can see their website).their shampoos dont make ur hair silky or soft(apparantly like other shampoos) but thy hv their positiv effect for conditioning loreal offer many products for split ends,,,hair breakage, ect.
i used H'Suan Wen Hua from lush, it was rele good. Its not a shampoo it like a moisturizer.
It says to leave on for a bit then wash off, but the lady at the store told me she left it on all night. I did the same thing put it all over from roots to ends and put on a showercap and went to sleep. in the morning i just rinsed it off. It made my hair very soft. my hair is somewhere in between mid back and shoulder length and i got 3 uses out of one container.
The only thing is it has a strong cinnamon after smell, i dont know if you would like that or not
