Re: Shami kebabs

Can you post the recipe for Shami kababs without eggs. I would love to make them for someone who has an allergy to eggs.

Re: Shami kebabs

the key is to use stew beef and put it thru the processor along w/ chanay ki daal. Don't use ground beef otherwise your shami kebabs will fall apart w/out egg.
We make it by boiling stew beef and chanay ki daal and then stick it in the food processor.

Re: Shami kebabs

if u don't want to add eggs than use some cornflour ....

Re: Shami kebabs

THis is how we make ours. Actually this is the first time I have heard using eggs in shami kebabs other than to coat them before pan frying them.

Re: Shami kebabs

we don't even coat it w/ egg for frying unless the mixture is super soft and refuses to stick together.

Re: Shami kebabs

cornflour with some fresh bread ground in doesnt let it fall apart. ever noticed that if u freeze the qeema or the kebabs they get dry so u can add some yogurt, will prevent them breaking apart and also wen u defrost they wont seem dry.
