I was surprised to read the article of Cyril Almeida who otherwise keeps his cool, but in this article to put the foot down on the throttle. Mud slinging all the way, I didnt expect it from him.

Maybe Cyril is sold too?

This is what we, not Ptians are saying, but typical Ptians have only one word to disapprove that HE is not tested yet AS a PD or PM so HE is still Andhon mein kana raja. the funny thing is that almost of them I mean ptians are agreeing on that he is Kana but not andha. Btw i prefer a moulvi having a Dhadhi on his face instead of IK who have dhadi in his belly, and this is so horrifying thing.

Not really.
Now, go check Pakistani online newspapers over the past few months (or any sample period you want).
Count the number of articles written criticizing Imran Khan. Count the number of articles written against the politician at number 2 of the most criticized politicians in Pakistan (I don't know who would that be. Zardari, perhaps?). You'll find that the former massively outnumber the latter.
Now go check GS threads.
Count the number of threads criticizing IK. Count the number of threads criticizing the politician at number 2 (Altaf Hussain, perhaps?).
There is a continuous stream of criticism against IK that is in my life unprecedented for a political figure, at least for a politician who is not in power. After every major incident, there are comment after comment about what IK said, what he did not say or what he should have said. It seems that anyone trying to prove his or her credentials has a duty to churn out something against him once a week at least.
Now if the supporters respond to them, they are branded 'trolls' and what not. It becomes worse when we have a situation where most of his supporters also have access to online media. The problem is that in earlier days the pundits could do that without any feedback appearing in the media. Now in the days of facebook, twitter, blogs and online comments, these 'intellectuals' have to face backlash which they are not used to.
I voted for PTI when no one else in my family and friends did a decade ago. I am not sure I would do it again now. What irritates me is the constant bombardment of criticism which is now touching phobic boundaries.
Re: Shame on you, Mr Khan
IK is not a puppet, and should not act like one.
He is the one who acknowledge terrorism as an issue and WANTS to fix it.
Along the way he should not read every day papers and try to adjust his statements so people with one day long
attention span feel good about him.

Your all rules are reserved for protecting Ik and I apologize but every Nirrala is allowed to use any word against the authentic elected representatives of people of Pakistan .
I was ousted last time to say a few words in honor of your holy leader .
I wanted to say sorry for that , I wrote something to apologize
that time in Urdu but couldn’t post those , I am posting that now /
It is just beginning , it is much long and I shall say more sorry

Zardari attracts more criticism because he is running the show. Had some Anwer Pasha or Amal running the country, they would have been scrutinized just as much as Zardari gets. When media, courts, civil society and ordinary people criticise Zardari, Gilani or Ashraf, they essentially criticise the government, something we confuse with the PPP. Government and PPP are two different things. We must not mix them.
As far as this particular column is concerned, at least I haven't seen any title like: "Shame on you, Mr. Zardari"
As I said earlier, you have every right to have an opinion of your own and express it. I only objected to the title in particular and the tone of the article in general. You can say the same thing differently, albeit with more grace and impact.
Re: Shame on you, Mr Khan
Those pointing out that Imran is not in power therefore he should not be criticized are in error. Public support and popular criticism matters even for Taliban and rabid right wingers. If not for the brave Malala who exposed the lies of life under Taliban rule and the lashing video, apologists like Imran and JI and PMLN would have been singing the praise of the peace and justice under Taliban rule and blame Yahood o Hanood for their evil acts. Army was able to lauch a full operation in Swat or against Lal Masjid goons only after their was a publice outcry and support in the media. Imran is very active in media and shown public support for the Taliban with his dharnas, marches etc.
Look at this report and see how Taliban are upset because of the bad press they are getting. If they don’t get support from the likes of Imran and Qazi Hussain Ahmad, they will demoralize and their revolution will die.

Taliban is creation of ISI. It looks its sympathy still lies with them through above hypocrites indirectly and still controlling them directly perhaps due to some long term planning by the army. They can be wiped out in no time if PA really wanted them to be eliminated as there is very little sympathy by the people of Pakistan for these brutal killers.
The double agent policies are still continued since Mush's time. IK is just a pawn in this whole game. He has no brains as far as politics is concerned, his strings are controlled by people like sheeda talli and other super permanent lotay, whose strings in turn are controlled by ISI.

That the Taliban have/had some covert support from some sections of Army and ISI might be true but it is also a fact it is the Pakistan army that have fought Taliban and lost many men and defeated them in places. My assessment is that the Army and is also divided into Jihadi and non-Jihadi factions. There are many known Jihadi generals but there are several non-Jihadi types as well. Public support and pressure enables one faction to dominate the other. Controlling media and influencing public opinion is a much bigger part of this war than bullets and bombs.

Drone attacks kill 80% innocent people - thenews.com.pk
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Wednesday that the majority of those killed in drone attacks were innocent people. According to Malik, only 20 percent of those killed in drone attacks were militants while the rest were innocent people.
Re: Shame on you, Mr Khan
This sensatiolization at it's best:
14 year old girl exposed Khan?? Really, the person who visited her very next day alongwith many senior party members, offered to pay for her treatment expenses and also spoke to other girls who were ignored by the whole Pakistan??
Shame on you Mr Khan?? We have had several military dictators, politicians, leaders etc who totally RAPED our country for 63 years but no such horrible statements for them but you choose this for a person who is at least trying to resolve the problem?? Obviously these kind of articles can't be written about others because they will either get you kidnapped, killed or sacked but Imran would surely not react so it's OK to take CHEAP shots at him.
You can disagree with Khan's stance on terrorism but guess who has been proven right after a decade of war in the region? Several leaders have issued statements against Talibans and military action has also been taken but we are still FAR away from eliminating extremism/terrorism. Can we afford another 10 years of war, loss of billions of Dollars and thousands of more lives?? At least we have someone trying something different, What is going to gain by supporting bunch of animals? It's not as if Talibans are going to turn up in thousands on election day and vote for Imran. All he is saying is let's try to address genuine concerns of tribal people to bring them on our side, then try to bring things under control using their help which is surely a parctical solution. Nawaz Sharif and co have no other solution than this, Zardari hardly cares about ANYTHING, Altaf hardly matters because he doesn't really mean what he says so who has got the solution??
Re: Shame on you, Mr Khan
BS. Since day one Malik is asking US to stop drone attacks, even before IK knew what drone was.
BTW , IK isnt saying what you are trying to portray, he says Drones are increasing militancy and that is the reason for attack on malala as well.
