If we even don’t shake hands or says ‘thank you’. Not only to security but to any person who is available there. Shame on us ![]()

Re: Shame On Us....
Oh man :(
I think it's lack of awareness though... probably never occurred to any of them...
Re: Shame On Us....
Much ado about nothing. The security is there to do a job. And not mingle with the people in the mosque. When folks go to work, I am not sure greeting each other religiously is the top priority. They got a job to do. So do the security people.
Also, the security folks can wish the patrons if they choose to. I am sure every patron thus wished would return the favor.
Re: Shame On Us....
It has got to do with being a HUMAN.
If anyone who has little bit of humanity would greet that person.
During second WW the German soldiers also said: we were only doing our duty.
Doing duty does not excuse them for not being a human or not having feelings.
Having said that.......... I simply cannot believe that out of all the people NO ONE greets the security guy.
It just is very hard to believe that.
Re: Shame On Us....
Actually, the German soldiers were doing their duty. Soldiers should not be blamed for the bad policy of the administration. The Nazis were evil. Not the soldiers. So analogy may not apply? (I am not too strong in history and I could be wrong).
But I do get your point. I can see how the security guards could be genuinely hurt due to not being greeted. Agree that it would be human.

:) Well the German army was following a leader who believed in fascist totalitarian ideology. And most soldiers in the German army also had this ideology that's why most of them did not dessert the army.
Its not that all of them agreed with the Hitlers ideology but they said it was an order to kill people so we did it. Of course that's nonsense because what differentiates us from animals is that we do always have a choice.
But I think we are deviating from the topic and as far as I can see we both agree on the fact that though a duty is a duty and the security guard should focus only on the duty but it would have been nicer/humaner to greet the guard.

and there is nothing wrong if you greet a security guard, bell-boy, or sweeper who works in the office. Remember if you give smile surely the smile get back to you. :)
Pplz who live abroad feel happy when they meet their countryman no matter if they know or not. It is enough for them that whom the met is from his country. But living within our country and not greeting each others is just shocking.
