Employment based green cards also have their own set of conditions that must be met. For starters…you can not apply for it unless an employer is willing to sponsor you. In addition, U.S. citizenship through marriage is a lot faster through marriage than employment. As the spouse of a U.S. citizen, you’re highter in the priority chain.

Well, I was talking about conditions (after approval)… There are none, trust me

p.s. technically its the same process, you do a I-140 instead of a I-130 in employment… However, there is a Dept of Labor process where the company has to prove that this employee is pretty much exceptional and cant be replaced with a citizen in the area… That adds to the time, plus alot of the categories (esp those from china and india) are severely retrogressed and backlogged. However, if you have a PhD (EB-1), its actually faster than getting married. Also, there are no interviews in the employment based GCs
