Shalwar Suits- Fabrics

Hi everyone,

I am a new user and would like to know what brands are considered good in Pakistan for georgette and silk fabrics,

I am in the U.K. and would like some of my relatives to send me good georgette and silk shalwar suits, However I would like to choose the quality of the stuff they will ultimately get stitched for me,

Could anyone kindly guide me on the brands, I am aware of Gul Ahmed for lawn and cotton, if so, do they do for georgette and chiffon, silk etc?

I am considering moderately priced brands, not over the top designer wear.

Thank you!

Banarsi Al-Rahim Brothers

Re: Shalwar Suits- Fabrics

mmkaki is correct - Banarsi Al Rahim brothers and hilal silk have excellent fabrics. You could also try Bareeze and Khaadi who have high quality fabrics?

Hi all,

Thanks to your suggestions, will definitely browse through them, the banarsi bros looks nice , has anyone got links on to bareeze website ( not the bareeze domain UK one)

Re: Shalwar Suits- Fabrics

Bareeze in London is exactly the same as the one in Liberty, Lahore, just a little more expensive. If you're considering getting some fabric from Bareeze (PK), go and see their stores in England first. Will give you an idea as to what's available. I'm not such a fan of their loose fabric, if I'm honest, but their ready-made, formal outfits are STUNNING. We got slightly carried away and spent a fortune on the formals when we went shopping for my sister's wedding. Expensive, but worth it. X

Hi everyone

Thank you all ,will certainly check out the Bareeze in London firstly, and let the relatives know..

:)

Re: Shalwar Suits- Fabrics

Good idea, bareeze is definitely something you should check out.

Re: Shalwar Suits- Fabrics

Hilk Silk Palace has really soft, light material, Bareeze chiffon with th embroidery is subtle and elegant, Khan Baba in Lahore has really nice silks/georgettes/chiffons for more "everyday" wear.....

Re: Shalwar Suits- Fabrics

I personally love the Hilal Silk Palace chiffon saris:)
