I am a new user and would like to know what brands are considered good in Pakistan for georgette and silk fabrics,
I am in the U.K. and would like some of my relatives to send me good georgette and silk shalwar suits, However I would like to choose the quality of the stuff they will ultimately get stitched for me,
Could anyone kindly guide me on the brands, I am aware of Gul Ahmed for lawn and cotton, if so, do they do for georgette and chiffon, silk etc?
I am considering moderately priced brands, not over the top designer wear.
try out this shop it has good material ive bought a few dress material from here for my jahez clothes they have cotton, silk jamavar, chunri all sort of materials its outlets r in khi (zamzama) lhr and isb
try hilal silk too its in zamzama and bahadurabad in khi
mmkaki is correct - Banarsi Al Rahim brothers and hilal silk have excellent fabrics. You could also try Bareeze and Khaadi who have high quality fabrics?
Thanks to your suggestions, will definitely browse through them, the banarsi bros looks nice , has anyone got links on to bareeze website ( not the bareeze domain UK one)
Bareeze in London is exactly the same as the one in Liberty, Lahore, just a little more expensive. If you're considering getting some fabric from Bareeze (PK), go and see their stores in England first. Will give you an idea as to what's available. I'm not such a fan of their loose fabric, if I'm honest, but their ready-made, formal outfits are STUNNING. We got slightly carried away and spent a fortune on the formals when we went shopping for my sister's wedding. Expensive, but worth it. X
Hilk Silk Palace has really soft, light material, Bareeze chiffon with th embroidery is subtle and elegant, Khan Baba in Lahore has really nice silks/georgettes/chiffons for more "everyday" wear.....
