Ladies, I plan to visit NY soon and I need to buy 4-5 casual shalwar qameezes as well as a couple of party wear. Mid range, not to flashy, but decent and up to date.
Please suggest where to look, names of boutiques, cloth merchants/tailors whatever.

I love this store in Jackson Heights called Armaan's Bridal. Absolutely gorgeous.

No.. it's all super fancy stuff. u can get some pretty nice outfits when they have em on sale...i dont think ull find too many casuals in Jackson Heights, better to go to Brooklyn...they have ready-made casuals , a little bit higher than Pak prices, but still not as crazy as JH
richmond hill had a lot of shops the last time i was there (2 years ago) but normally in jackson heights i like karishma's they used the same wholesaler as a store i like here in houston. or at least they did at the time. there was a place in queens that sold payal singhal, i forgot the name of the place but they used to have commercials on tv and i went through there and found stuff i liked.
