I’m just about to go to Pakistan for my shaadi in April, but here in the US I have no idea what styles are “in” in pakistan right now, I thought it was “short” kameez (right above the knee, or perhaps a little lower) but I’ve been hearing that longer kameez is now in fashion? Ahhh!!! I just bought so many suits in shorter kameez! Anyone “in the know” please fill me in!
And what other styles are popular right now? Churidar? Anarkali suits? How about antique-work kaam? What colors are the hottest right now? Bright colors or pastels or dark colors…?
just about knee length. nothing mid-thigh, or mid-calf.
shirts are still being paired with straight-legged pants/pajamas. shalwars are normal. apparently white shalwars are being paired with any colored shirt.
white shalwars are in for this summer. :k: seems like that so far. Shirts are of medium length but the larhkiyan baliyan still sticking to short shirts welland why not. it really really suits them so well

lotuseater- i wud personally advice u 2 go for wat u like 2 wear n feel comfortable in, instead of goin for the INN thing and ending up lookin uncomfortable.

i prefer them shorter.. and it so depends on ur height weight shape etc ec.. right..
I've been sticking with knee length. Seems to be a safe neutral, particularly for heavy, expensive suits that I want to last. For the less expensive ones you can experiment with the latest trend.
Length of the kameez is long now..any color and fabric is being worn with cream less "ghair" wali shalwars and capri's of every length are IN! Capri's with lace..and layering is also popular =)
Are Anarkali suits still in? My mom bought me 2 expensive ones that were on sale and then I started to wonder if they were on sale because they are going out...? I sure hope not!!
