the narrator must know that if the suspect is disconnected, with dignity, what can it do, to be able to reclaim a good understanding of the other person and not feel so dismayed.

this air of being quiet is noble in case of a mindless disconnect from the other side, but humans eventually learn that what they lose, and often times, since they dont make up for their behaviors in putting someone's trust down, and not reciprocating regard, such people suffer badly.
practical may be, to muster up courage and to walk up to the person an state what is stated here, in front of that person.
and see what happens.
would you please write something on that scenario as a background?
