dont want to waste two hours of my life if its just a chick flick. is there humor involved is it pure romantic tripe?
Meh, it's not purely romantic. It does give an interesting and different outlook to the old english times but outside of the realms of Lords and Ladies. I wouldn't go out of my way to see this movie, but if I happened to have nothing else to do or watch, I'd watch this movie. Unless, of course, you're plannin on watching this movie with someone, in which case, it's easier to watch than some other romantic movies. The humour is not that great, if I recall correctly. There's a few situations that tickled my funny-bone, but nothing exceptional. But every romantic-comedy type movie has something like that.
the movie was ok. Funny in only a few parts. FYI - A couple of nude scenes as well in case you are planning to watch it w/ others.
