I have become a big fan of this lady(I hope her name is Shajia Mansoor).Her first album had a big hit-Kalhiyan gujaran keenwen raatan kaaliyaaan.Her latest released in India has a thriller whose first line I have not been able to catch(I want someone to tell me what it is).But the next lines are:Main tere pichche rai gai hai dil jani.Its a big hit here in delhi.I am listening to this cassette for the last one week in my car and still want to listen more and more of it.She is really superb.Pl tell me more about her.

Shazia Manzoor is a Pakistani singer. She does playback for Paki films. Her other albums are "Chan Makhna", "Ghar Aaja Sohneya", and the recent "Mahi Aawega". The last one is really good. I heard the songs from the album Hai Dil Jaidi, and they weren't that great as compared to the songs in these last few albums. IF you go to the website Indiahits.com, you can listen to Hai Dil Jaidi. The other albums can be available at pakistanimusic.com, pakstereo.com, muziqpakistan.com, etc. The songs that she does are actually Indian remixes of old and new Pakistani films songs. I believe the remixes are done by India, but I can't be too sure of that.
as you folks are talking about Shazia Manzoor..i thought to ask a question? Has anyone noticed a voice change when she started with Music Challenge way back on Stn..as compared to now..i think she had a thin voice and now its totally different..but still i love her songs..has anyone seen her Ghar aaja sohnia’s video..the ending was a sad one

Gher aaja sohniya was definitely a good but very sad song. But I dont understand how they take pakistani song and picturize it on indian actors.? CAN anyone tell me how that is possible?

Nobody said that just because a singer is not indian, that they are not a good singer. Just emphasizing that she is pakistani.
Its very possible to have a pakistani song picturized on indian actors. You could include Adnan Sami Khan in that category - oh yeah, ever since he became a hit with "kabhi nazar tho milao", he disowned his paki heritage. Or so i've heard. Indians picturize plenty of songs of paki artists - sajjad ali's sohni lagde, sweet ali haider's purani jeans and mahi, the golden oldie "chandni ratein", and "mera lang gawacha" (excuse the spelling!) - granted the last two are also remixes by india...
