throughout her career she has always been one of the best newscasters. this women portrays sooo much decency just with that accent. her english is sooo professional and sounds really good.

her families must be proud of her. god bless her...ameen suma ameen.

btw is she retiring or leaving her self?

and has she ever read news in urdu?

I caught her reading the English news on PTV the other day, and I was thinking OMG she is still there?? Wow, she must have been there for more than 35 years I think....she hasn't changed much either. She was an institution herself as far as reading English news was concerned. Happy retirement to her!

Awww!! I remember listening to her when I was a kid..oh , and I met her at Murree once..... my mom actually did, I was too little I think. My mom made me say salam to her :)

Shaista had a sort of British accent, while the new girl seems to have a mixture of British and American going on! Not sure if I like it!

^ I'm not against the American accent, its the strange mixture of accents that most young Pakistanis have that is slightly annoying! ;)
