I think you have not gone through his album ‘Silsila’ with Jagjit Singh. Where you can find a different genre of poetry as against Javaid Akhta’s filmi songs.

Anwar Maqsood is famous for his ‘Mazahiya Mushaira’ and he has not written serious poetry (like her sister **Zehra Nigah) **except writing some songs for ‘Strings’ including ‘Zinda hoon main’ taken by Sanjay Gupta in his movie ‘Zinda’.
