Mumbai: Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan seems to in problem in India as he was facing criticism from Hindu extremists over being a Muslim. SRK shared his pain in an emotive first person article titled Being a Khan for Outlook Turning Points magazine, published in association with The New York Times newspaper.

This is an opportunity to stick it to the bigots because as nationalist as someone may be, having to choose between their party and a popular celebrity would actually cause some people to give their views some consideration. It's sad that it would come to that but I'll take it lol.

I was watching a program today on Geo news, where Shabana Azmi, and Imran Hashmi also saying that they were unable to buy a home in Mumbai coz they are Muslims!!!
I was quite shocked with that..didn't expect something like that...if movie stars are treated like that, then what about the aam ppl?

I think this phenomena varies from State to State. In Mumbai its not easy for muslims to get a place to rent. I once met a muslim from Gujarat, and according to him the areas where Brahmans, Khashtriyas live are different. A muslim or lower caste Hindu cant live there. In Delhi the situation is better.

Now I know why SRK said in another interview that his biggest achievement has been to own a home.
(but I also thought Mannat (his house) is on lease for a 100yrs)

Shah Rukh Khan is one of the few actors or only a tor who pays his fair share of taxes. That makes him the most patriotic actor and famous person. More patriotic than the Ambanis.
