Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

So after recent killings in Kashmir, Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi tweeted something in the grievance of human loss. But that was purely on the subject matter. Since then he was attacked by first Indian cricketers and then joined by thousands of trolls as well as pretty much entire Indian media

Whats your take on this?

Shahid Afridi’s tweet:

Like the loser Gautam Ghambir going all personal since he cant talk substance like most indians:

And the indian media throwing all kinda fits..

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Good for Afridi for speaking out on this matter. He only stated facts. The whole world can see what atrocities the Indian army is committing in broad daylight.

What can be said about Gautam Gambhir, Indian Media and all the other trolls? Their reactions and behavior speak for itself. What else can be expected from terrorists?

The UN is a joke as well.

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Afridi has always shown grace in terms of these matters.

Just in February he took a picture with indians having indian flag on. They indians tried to wrap the flag but Afridi insisted to let it be as is.

Afridi tweets again in favour of Kashmir, this time with Indian flag - Kashmir Narrator

Now at that time a lot of indians commented praises for him and that he won their hearts.

Now the same are spitting poison on him, as usual

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Shahid Afridi has a right to express his views on the situation in Kashmir. (I have not followed the situation for a while, but I see no reason why Afridi would make things up).

Gautam Gambhir’s response was pathetically personal. And not called for. Times Now, when Arnab Goswamy was there was right wing. It appears they still are. I really don’t see how Afridi is a hypocrite if his cousin was killed in 2003. Why drag that into this situation and muddy the waters.

Since Modi has taken over, the public and the media have become increasingly right wing. Liberal news people such as Rajdeep Sardesai (cricketer Dilip Sardesai som) are mocked as anti India and pro you know which country. I bet liberal journalists such as Rajdeep Sardesai would not spout such venom.

Which brings us full circle. Liberal journalists across the border are also mocked as being pro you know which country.

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Here is a blog from March 2016 from a liberal times of India blogger that shows liberals operate in a higher plane

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Thanks for sharing. But the blogger is a amnesty guy so its understandable. How many are out there like him? Few in millions?

check out the comments in the same blog. Shows the adverse picture

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

India can’t suppress Kashmiri freedom sentiments at gun point anymore… The sooner they realize it the better it would be for them…besides… i am very disappointed with our army and government… we need to heat things up at LoC… stop playing gulli danda with small weapons… Send in some troops, get some indian solider’s heads and come back and repeat it every night… Make every night “Red” for them…
Quote me at your own risk…

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Sid, I agree with you. As I stated in my earlier comment, Indian people are becoming more right wing. When I went there last, i was surprised to see folks I thought were liberal were not. Fake god men rule the roost.

Re media people I think The Hindu, The Times of India are reasonable. And there are plenty liberal commentators on TV. I mentioned one name above.

The right wing media shouts the loudest. And shouts over the liberals, much as in the west.

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Unfortunately we have extremists on either side. Who will not have the courage to go fight. But glad others to.

Yes, I have quoted you. What is the risk that you are threatening

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Southie got triggered…

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Hear Hear.. the whole indian nation has suddenly turned its curses towards Virat Kohli who just said this:

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Let’s avoid quoting mirch masala gossip news channels that do nothing but fan the flames of hatred.

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

I always knew this Afridi is something else

from pwning Indians on the ground and now in reality too

Be Afridi Be Very Afridi

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Poor Gauti hasnt gotten over his grudge over Lala and trying to talk **** lulz](http://gupshup.org/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=lulz)

Good on lala that he completely ignored his tweet

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Hindus should be careful, how do they expect their rights to be respected in the west when they keep holding such disgusting views about Kashmiris?

Sarcasm

I hope ya’ll can see how stupid you look when you bunch Muslims together every single time.

Regarding the thread, good for Afridi for standing by what he said.

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Unfortunately that is the name of the game now, its all over the world. Polarization at work.

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Actually your first sentence is spot on. The Hindus who have bigoted views towards Kashmiris do not have a leg to stand on wrt rights in the west. Doesn’t mean one should support their rights to be violated. But their actions do not give them the moral high ground to expect their rights to be respected elsewhere.

And n, if one criticizes those specific Hindus it does NOT mean one is “bunching”all Muslims together.

I hope ole you see how stupid your analogy is.

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Looks like what I said went right over your head, not surprised. I would take the time to explain my analogy but why bother if you were not smart enough to understand it in the first place?

Carry on.

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

You must have been looking at the mirror while providing that sermon. Are you chastised now

Re: Shahid Afridi versus Indian trolls & media

Man I love that I can bring out the real you in front of everyone here with just a few words. A talent I should use more often with the phonies.
