The funny thing is that Afridi has no qualms about using the choicest of abuses (some beeps but in one place its clearly heard) while his 3 year old daughter is within hearing distance

The first and only option that comes to mind is to pick up the child immediately. Problem solved. And then scream at the relative who broought the child along and let go of her irrespnsibly, thus putting her in danger.

amazing KK still does have a couple of people and perhaps more who i thought understood value of opinion and yet no one (even those a few) have any opinion on presence of bari on this picture.

I was confused why Wasim (the wicketkeeper) Bari was inserted when I first saw his name and am still surprised why his name is relevant in this one sided wrestling match. The fact that he was a poor official etc has no bearing on this incident.

تین برس کی بیٹی کو بھیڑ میں کچلے جانے سے بچانے پر سٹار آل راؤنڈر شاہد آفریدی کا پاکستانی میڈیا ٹرائل کر دیا۔
جمعے کی رات جب ایشیا کپ کے فائنل میں بنگلادیش کے خلاف اپنی ٹیم کی جیت میں اہم کردار ادا کرکے مین آف دی میچ کا اعزاز حاصل کرنے والے شاہد آفریدی وطن واپس پہنچے تو ائر پورٹ پر انہوں نے صحافیوں سے بات کی۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ بنگلا دیش کے خلاف میچ ایسے تھا جیسے وہ آسٹریلیا جیسی مضبوط ٹیم کے خلاف کھیل رہے ہوں۔
میڈیا سے گفتگو کے بعد آفریدی اپنی کار کی طرف بڑھے تو وہاں موجود لوگ ان کے گرد جمع ہو گئے اور جیسا کہ پاکستان میں ایسے موقعوں پر دیکھا گیا ہے کہ اس طرح کی بھیڑ میں دھکم پیل شروع ہو جاتی ہے اور ایسا ہی ہوا جس کے سبب شاہد آفریدی کی تین برس کی بیٹی اجوا دھکا لگنے سے گر پڑی۔
**اپنی بیٹی کو بچانے کے لیے آفریدی اپنے جذبات پر قابو نہ پا سکے اور ایک شخص کو دھکا دیا اور ایسا کرنا ایک باپ کا فطری عمل تھا لیکن کیمرے کی آنکھ اصل وجہ تو نہ دیکھ سکی اور صرف دیکھا کہ شاہد آفریدی اپنے گرد کھڑے لوگوں سے لڑ رہے ہیں۔
اس منظر کو ایکشن ریپلے کی تکنیک سے اتنی بار ٹیلی وژن پر چلایا گیا کہ لگتا تھا کہ شاہد آفریدی مسلسل کسی شخص کو مار رہے **ہیں۔
یہ منظر تقریباً تمام ٹی وی چینل پر دکھایا گیا لیکن پاکستان کے ایک ٹی وی چینل نے تو انتہا کر دی اور اس منظر کو بار بار نشر کرنے کے ساتھ خبریں پڑھنے والے اس طرح کی کمنٹری کر رہے تھے جس میں شاہد آفریدی کو ولن بنا کر پیش کیا گیا اور لگتا تھا کہ اس چینل والوں کو ان سے کوئی خاص دشمنی ہے۔
شاہد آفریدی نے بعد ازاں انکسار کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے یہ بھی کہا کہ انہیں اپنے جذبات کو قابو میں رکھنا چاہیے تھا لیکن اس وقت اپنی بیٹی کو گرا ہوا دیکھ کر وہ کر بھی کیا سکتے تھے۔
کچھ نشریاتی اداروں نے مقصدیت کو مد نظر رکھتے ہوئے شاہد آفریدی کے نقط نظر کو بھی پیش کیا بلکہ ایک ٹی وی چینل پر تو اس شخص کا انٹرویو بھی نشر ہوا جسے مبینہ طور پر شاہد آفریدی نے گھونسہ مارا تھا۔ اس شخص نے کہا کہ انہیں آفریدی سے کوئی گلہ نہیں ایسے وقت میں ہر شخص کا رد عمل ایسا ہی ہوتا۔
شاہد آفریدی کے اس عمل کو انتہائی منفی انداز سے نشر کرنے والے اس بڑے ٹی وی چینل کی ویب سائٹ پر لگنے والی اس خبر پر جن لوگوں نے تبصرے کیے وہ بھی زیادہ تر شاہد آفریدی کے حق میں تھے۔
تبصرہ کرنے والوں کا کہنا تھا کہ آفریدی کے اس فطری عمل پر ذرائع ابلاغ نے غیر ضروری واویلہ مچایا[/RIGHT]

PS:
Basically article criticizes the Media Trial of Afridi specially news channels who have captured half truth (that AFridi was pushing the guy) and not what happened before that. It also talked about how by using video editing TV channels made it look like Afridi is continuously hitting that guy when Afridi actually only pushed that guy once and that it was the natural reaction of a father whose 3 year old daughter was pushed to ground
The guy (who was involved in incident) himself was on one TV channel and said that he has no complains/grudge against Afridi and any father would have done what Afridi did.

ALLAH ke haath main zillat bhi aur izzat , it reminds me of Zidane in the World cup final, any man who loves his family would do anything to protect them be it their physical well being or their honour.
