Shahid Afridi - a Father for the 3rd time.

Maybe not for all-however both my mums family and my husbands family had large families in Pakistan-not in England. Would you like evidence of this?! I'll gladly give you addresses in Pakistan so you can verify what I say.

I think we can agree that a size of a family depends on their personal situation and their faith in Allah.

And Sweetu-please check your facts before throwing such a lovely comment my way.

Firstly-for someone in my situation-e.g. earning above a certain limit we are not entitled to public handouts. I personally frawn upon those Muslim brothers and sisters this side of the atlantic that give birth simply to bump their benefits. To claim things like working family tax credits (which is what I suppose you refer to) you must earn below a certain amount which the government has set as a benchmark. For many Muslim brothers and sisters in the UK who are self-employed/work for family they can fix the accounting books and claim money they would not be entitled to should they have declared their REAL wages. Any money you are not entitled to is haraam-isn't that was Islam teaches us?

Also, if my memory service me right Mr Zardari was considering/has looked into a system of benefits for those earning below a certain amount? It maybe early stages (maybe it won't go ahead) he has discussed it briefly though?

I'll say it again, and this is my opinion and I respect yours too-children are ones biggest wealth. To raise good Muslims in any part of the world is priceless.

Re: Shahid Afridi - a Father for the 3rd time.

These days people who do not own businesses and have large family here in this country are not living happily. It was possible some 30-40 years ago to live happily with large families. But its no longer the case.

We have quantity but not quality these days.

Re: Shahid Afridi - a Father for the 3rd time.

okay ..
this was supposed to be CONGRATS afridi thread …

n by Afridi … i meant Shahid Khan Afridiwho plays for Pakistan Cricket Team … not afridi or Pathan tribe …

Re: Shahid Afridi - a Father for the 3rd time.

I ain't from his tribe :) and indeed forgive me, for straying in response to the messages.

Congrats to both parents and their families-may Allah keep them all safe and happy-Ameen!

I stand by what I wrote. In today's day and age, back home middle class and lower middle class find it very difficult to financially support themselves and to think of feeding 6+ mouths including your own is quite a task. Did I ask for your family's address to verify?

We have faith in Allah but Allah has given us will power and a brain to differentiate between right and wrong. If you still decide to shoot yourself in the foot then it's your fault not becuase you have more or less faith in Allah.
