Unfortunately this is the mentality of majority of the Pakistan people especially among Pushtoon people. There is one bloke in our area who meagrely earns 6000 a month and has 7 daughters.

Congrats to Afridi. We have 'pathan' blood running through our vains and believe it or not even attitudes amongst our communities are changing.
My father-in-law was one of ten, mashallah all were raised very well in Pakistan on a police officers salary back in the day. And he wasn't a corrupt officer either, he was an honest, humble man.
My husband is now one of four. It depends on the family and how they feel towards large families. My father-in-law is kept quite busy with mashallah 4 kids if he'd had more touba touba I don't think he'd have time to breathe-and I mean that in the nicest way!
My mother in one of eight, 5 passed away as children which would have created a family of 13. None of my kelas, mamus have had more than 4 children.
There is nothing wrong with large families. The gentleman with mashallah seven daughters must feel very blessed and have a lot of "barkat" is his money. Afterall, some say your children are your biggest wealth.
As someone said before, it is a blessing to be able to raise children. Some don't even get this blessing.
Islam is the fastest growing religion-not just based on reverts but also on how many children are being born-so there is a logic.

It isn't practical to have large families especially In Pakistan where financially speaking it's hard to support yourself let alone a full team.
