Did he build casino after this?
We all know what type of people throw insults against somebody doing Hajj.
You must be very proud of yourself.
Re: Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto
I have serious differences with pre-1971 Bhutto, but the post-1971 Bhutto did a great job. He was certainly someone that the entire nation looked up to. Given the severity of the circumstance, Simla Pact was a great achievement that could be inscribed to him. 1973's constitution was almost a miracle for a demoralized and divided nation. Internationally speaking, I do not see anyone matching up to his stature in his time. He did his part of mistakes, but still he was someone who had vision, ability to dream and power to actualize them. He had charisma, caliber and capacity that no one ever had after him. And that's why it pains me a lot when some Jiyalas compare him with a jester who ended up at a position which he would never deserve even if he is reborn a thousand times.
While Bhutto was a visionary and a true leader, his legacy unfortunately turned out to be colossal failure. They are just cashing in on the charm and respect their party's founder still enjoys, but actually not justifying their affiliation with ZAB. Their Bhuttoism is detrimental to the country and I am sure even ZAB's soul would be cursing them for what they are doing to his people in him name.
May his soul rest in peace.
Bhutto was a good leader overall, intelligent, had vision and could have turned the country around if he wanted to. But when he started playing power politics then his as well as the country's down fall began. Maybe his feudal mindset was at play but he brutally tried to crush dissent which created new problems, if he had rallied the nation for the cause of rebuilding and reached out to the people they would have responded. But he divided people but pushing the opposition to the other extreme.

A well thought out and mature post. :k:

In a way, I feel that he underestimated his own potential and focused on traditional and typical political ploys that generally most of the politicians adopt for managing opponents. He went clearly wrong on that. He had an assortment of rivals that could have been handled without touching the extremes that he resorted to, but still however wrong he might be, he did not deserve the penalty meted out to him. How he managed his opponents was wrong. But givent the post-1971 situation, how his opponents behaved was also wrong. ZAB misread the entire situation and skidded on a slop that was specifically laid for him. While he was wrong, his opponents also cannot be absolved of the blame of being part of the ploy that eventually led to an 11-year long and dark eclipse in the country
I understand that he was not free of errors — none of us is — but taking into account the context of political cultural and leadership material, I cannot help feel that a true substitute for a leader of his intellect and vision is still missing in our jigsaw of politics.

Now
Re: Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto
Bhagat Singh’s hanging was also a judicial murder.
Anyone interested in reopening his case?
Even if you hang all the judges of federal court/supreme court from 1947 to this date, no one can bring ZAB back. Instead of hiding behind his hanging, give your late leader a favour and start talking about performance of his party, now hijacked by Zardari and his gang.
Re: Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto
Shh dont mention loadsheding, haj scam or any other scam under the protection of peer PM, such things r not as important as wasting courts time and resources.

Yes I am very proud of myself, I can see beyond's someone's one-time acts as well as repeat acts (drinking habits), I can differentiate right from wrong and I can say it too, you can try mixing things up and try emotional black-mail but people who can read know what my question really was. Nice try though.
