آج ملک بھر میں پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی کے کارکن اور شہید ذوالفقار علی بھٹو کے عقیدت مند ان کی33ویں برسی منا رہے ہیں شہید ذوالفقار علی بھٹو نے جو پارٹی قائم کی اس نے اس ملک کے عوام کو سیاسی شعور دیا استحصالی نظام کے خلاف زبان دی’محنت کشوں کو یونین سازی کا حق دیا’ پاکستان کو ناقابل تسخیر بنانے کے لئے ایٹمی پروگرام شروع کیا اور اس کی معاشی بنیادیں مضبوط کرنے کے لئے سٹیل ملز قائم کی اور متعدد دفاعی ادارے قائم کئے پاکستان کے لئے پیپلز پارٹی اور ذوالفقار علی بھٹو کی خدمات تھیں جن کے باعث اس پارٹی کو عوام نے بار بار اقتدار کے مینڈیٹ سے نوازا یہ ذوالفقار علی بھٹو ہی تھے جنھوں نے لاہور میں اسلامی سربراہی کانفرنس کا انعقاد کیا اورپاکستان کو اسلامی دنیا کے رہنمائوں کی میزبانی کا شرف بخشا مذکورہ کانفرنس کے بعد تیل کی دولت سے مالا مال مسلم ریاستوں میں پاکستانیوں کے لئے روز گار کے دروازے کھل گئے اگر اس سے بھی پہلے کے دور کا جائزہ لیں تو ذوالفقار علی بھٹو کی فراست کی داد دینی پڑتی ہے کہ شملہ مذاکرات میں کامیابی حاصل کی جس کے نتیجے میں بھارت پاکستان کو نوے ہزار قیدی اور چھ ہزار مربع میل کا رقبہ واپس دینے پر آمادہ ہوا کوئی بھی مذاکرات کچھ لو اور کچھ دو کی بنیاد پر کامیابی سے ہمکنارہوتے ہیں بھٹو ایک شکست خوردہ فوج کے وزیراعظم تھے پاکستان مذاکرات کی میز پر بھارت کو کچھ دینے کی پوزیشن میں نہیں تھا اس کے باوجود انہوں نے اپنے تدبر اور فراست سے مذاکرات کی میز پرکامیابی حاصل کی یہ بھی انہی کے دور کا کارنامہ ہے کہ قوم کو1973 کا متفقہ پارلیمانی آئین ملا لیکن بھٹو کی مقبولیت اور پاکستان کو مستحکم کرنے کے ان کے اقدامات ان کے اقتدار سے معزولی کا باعث بنے عالمی سطح پر ان کے خلاف ایک سازش تیار ہو چکی تھی جس میں جنرل ضیاء نے آلہ کار کا کردار ادا کیا اقتدار سے معزولی اور پیپلز پارٹی کو کوڑوں کی سزائوں اور عقوبت خانوں میں اذیتیں دینے کے باوجود جب کمزور نہ کیا جاسکا اوربھٹو کی مقبولیت کے گراف کو کم نہ کیا جاسکاتو انہیں منظر سے ہٹانے کے لئے قتل کے ایک مقدمے کا جال بناگیا اس مقدمے کے بارے میں کسی تفصیل میں جائے بغیر محض جسٹس(ر)نسیم حسن شاہ کے آن دی ریکارڈ ایک بیان کا حوالہ دینا ہی کافی ہے جس میں انہوں نے کہاتھا کہ بھٹو کی پھانسی عدالتی قتل تھا یادرہے کہ جسٹس نسیم حسن شاہ سپریم کورٹ کے ان چار ججوں میں شامل تھے جنھوں نے ان کی اپیل مسترد کر دی تھی جبکہ تین ججوں نے ان کی اپیل منظور کی تھی اب جبکہ سپریم کورٹ نے ذوالفقار علی بھٹو کے مقدمے کو ری اوپن کیاہے تو یہ ضروری ہے کہ جسٹس(ر)نسیم حسن شاہ کے اس بیان پر انہیں بھی طلب کر کے ان سے مقدمے کا پس منظر معلوم کرنے کی کوشش کرے ذوالفقار علی بھٹو کی پیپلز پارٹی کیا آج اس نظریے اور انداز فکر لے کر آگے بڑھ رہی ہے جو پیپلز پارٹی کا تشخص اور ذوالفقار علی بھٹو کا اسلوب سیاست تھا یہ آج کے دور کا سب سے بڑا سوال ہے جو نہ صرف پیپلز پارٹی کے اندر بلکہ اس کے مخالف حلقوں میں بھی زیر بحث ہے ہم اپنی اس سوچی سمجھی رائے کا اظہار ضروری سمجھتے ہیں کہ آج کی پیپلز پارٹی کی حکومت بڑی حد تک بھٹو کی فکر اور ان کے سیاسی نظریاتی ورثے سے محروم ہو چکی ہے

He had weaknesses too, but his strengths surpassed his flaws. History is proud of such people who did not bow down to pressure even when they were hanged. This bright light of Pakistan, who helped his nation in trying times, was taken from us on April 4, 1979. He left us more than thirty years ago, but his memories are still fresh in our minds.
Those who thought they could eliminate Bhutto’s name failed terribly: the great leader is still alive in our hearts, while their names have disappeared into oblivion. Ironically, those who supported the judicial decision then, admit today that it was wrong. I wish the media was as powerful in those days as is now and the hanging of Bhutto could not take place.
The decision has never been quoted by any court as a precedent. One can see easily that the court’s decision was partial and biased as it was taken neither according to Islamic principles of justice nor according to the law in practice. Bhutto himself had not committed any murder. And if we suppose that he was involved in a conspiracy, he could not be given a death penalty for it.
This was a judicial murder as Bhutto was a hero for the common man.
If Pakistan has had any leader after Quaid-e-Azam, who enjoyed reverence and popularity, he is Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He made the poor and downtrodden people politically aware. He wanted them to be treated and respected like any human being should be.
He brought the helpless peasants on a par with the feudal lords. I am a witness to this revolution taking place in my village. Many people still remember those days when people of low social status like factory workers, blacksmiths, carpenters and cobblers were made office-bearers of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party. A social revolution took place and Bhutto was blamed for turmoil; but this was actually a golden revolution.

It is time to pay tribute to another victim of our establishment Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy the once prime minister of united Pakistan who established the nuclear deterrence but was completely peaceful and devoted for civil power .
