CHIEF Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Monday directed the officials concerned to develop a comprehensive system for provision of vegetables to the common man at half price during the next three months.
He said vacant state land, parks and other places should be used for growing maximum vegetables and besides setting up of kitchen gardens, planting of vegetables should be encouraged on the spare land of educational institutions.
The CM was presiding over a meeting for increasing vegetables production and provision of vegetables to the poor at reduced prices. He said vegetables were beyond the reach of the middle class and prices of onions and tomatoes were skyrocketing. He said we had to take steps to provide quality vegetables on low prices to the common man. He said kitchen gardens and vegetables planting were long-term projects of the Agriculture Department but he wanted a system in place immediately for providing vegetables to people at half prices within 90 days.
Shahbaz said that in the first phase, eight vegetables, including onion, tomato and carrot, should be selected and the prices of these vegetables would come down when they would be available in ample supply in market. He said steps should be taken to plant vegetables in playgrounds, parks and government land without interference of bureaucracy and Patwaris. He said a comprehensive plan should be presented within days for early implementation of the project and a committee should be constituted to review the process. He said that those setting up kitchen gardens in homes and planting vegetables in schools should be encouraged.
The CM termed the briefing given by the secretary Agriculture regarding vegetablesí planting comprehensive and said that the project should be speedily implemented and a system be evolved immediately to provide vegetables to the poor at half prices.

I told you and I am telling you again. This guy has no brains. He already incurred losses in millions of Rs. of government money in his stupid "sasti roti" scheme. He will again incur millions and millions in his showbazi, nothing else. He thinks he can make fool people of Pakistan particularly Punjab for ever.

On one hand the Joint Chor Committee (JCC) is planning to enforce Reformed GST ( after failing to control corruption and introduce taxation on land-lords etc) and Flood Tax ( after failing to receive the target amount from the international donors) from the Middle Class and salaried people... the govt have guts to announce something like this...
I have maintained this stance from long time that none of the parties from the current govt have any sympathy for the people of Pakistan... we need to have Pakistan Freedom Movement, with the motto to get rid of these rulers and ruling elite who is nothing but parasites

Another trick by pak governemnt they increase price of gas, electric, basic food on purpose.
Common man cannot think or do anything about the political sitiuation and why his government doing stupid things like helping the american war in afghanistan and killing muslims. Why? because all common man effort and energy is spent making their family survive!

How? Again enlighten your wisdom on this. Zardari is president of Pakistan through an election process. The powers he excercise are through constitution of Pakistan. As far I know he has still not override any such powers. aap ko kya taklif hay?

PPP started as a socialist party, but today it is PMLN which is behaving more like a socialist party.
I used to think that Shahbaz is smarter than his idiot brother, but time and again he has proven to be an even a bigger idiot. The guy still can not understand that artificial plans like this don't help. I wonder where are economy experts of this party are.
Why doesn't he develop some job creation strategy in the province?

I thought the same, but looking at his strategies and people getting ticket of him ( Ijaz Khan Jazi, Shahih Mairaaj, forgot the name of 2rd parasite) doesn’t reflect the statements or motto of PTI…
