For that say the military should take over and rid the country of the corrupt politicians, I would say to them that the military is responsible for the state of the country. The have ruled the country for about half of its existence and after their rule corrupt politicians always come back, why? because the military likes and maintains the status quo, it works with the corrupt politicians. If the military come into power and did a proper job for even 2 years then there will never be any need for the military to ever come back to power again. But the army has no interest to improve Pakistan because then they would lose the ability to rule Pakistan after every few years.

Nice one. What you wrote is the classical defence of thug politicians. Fact is that, if it was up to politicians, especially thug politicians of 1990s (BB and NS), Pakistan would have been economical hell and would have got divided into several parts by now.

It is surprising how these thug politicians and their ‘chalay chamchay’ lie bluntly on TV and to masses that corrupt politicians gets elected because people had no time to develop, else they would realise and elect honest politicians.

No one ask them question that when they make such absurd claims, what they really mean? Is it that the politicians (they themselves) are doing corruption, showing dishonesty, looting and plundering the country, abusing power and maltreating masses, doing mismanagement, etc … and behaving like Kings, dictators, and dogs, then is it because military is forcing them to do all this?

Actually, whatever little Pakistan developed and economically progressed after partition and is still surviving is because of several military rules. Economical progresses during their time played as adhesive in keeping Pakistan united, else at time of partition world was expecting that Pakistan will economically collapse and would beg India to re-take Pakistan.

Even though all military rule gave economical progress to Pakistan, only military rule that harmed Pakistan, not economically but socially, was Zia’s rule, else even socially all military rule was good for Pakistan.
