Pakistan’s power generation capacity is beyond its requirements, at 20,000 MW. The problem with lack of electricity is not power generation, it is payment of bills. However, Punjab govts priority was metro bus which would benefit 1/4th population of lahore, and laptop scheme, which would be used as a bribe. They were not interested in paying off power companies, so that power companies could begin generating electricity.
