RAWALPINDI, Feb 25: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif met Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani here on Friday, sources said.
The meeting continued for about an hour during which several issues were discussed, according to the sources.
Mr Sharif reached the Army House in Rawalpindi from Islamabad without the protocol detail, with his motorcade and police squad going to the Punjab House instead.
After the meeting, Mr Sharif was dropped at the Punjab House, Rawalpindi, in a Land Cruiser. ISPR chief Gen Athar Abbas declined to comment on the meeting. —Mohammad Asghar

Do you have understaning of difference in meeting by PPP leadership and CM Punjab with CAO? In past it has produced big problems with the PPP government. Do you remember Kary-Lugar bill? Why CM punjb is only meeting with CAO not other CMs of provinces? Can you visualise the difference here? Punjab is very much part of Pakistan and comes under federal government, such secret meetings witout agnenda on record create lots of doubts particulary to small provinces.

oh come on, they both meet the army chief with and both of the meetings were NOT SECRET. the its the chief of army of their own country, they are not meeting any 2nd or 3rd countries army chief... it could be condemnable or suspicious if they had the meeting in odd hours with complete secrecy and all, but this is not the case

In ideal democracy, COAS has not point meeting with politicians, diplomats and other foreign dignitaries unless its something of mutual interest and even then defense secretary should be present.
Even political leaders should not meet diplomats without the clearance from foreign office. I can understand if some country's PM or president is visiting and meeting with local party heads in combine meeting but Its just ridiculous that every 2nd month Indian diplomat meets Nawaz Sharif or every 2nd month some EU diplomat is at 90.
but again Pakistan is not and ideal democracy so I guess everything goes on...

Meetings without any agenda are considered to be secret meetings. CAO gap shap marnay ke leyay meeting nahin bulata hay. And yes keep your "third class retard comments with you"

I was partially wrong, looks like it was good omen for PPP government. Kyani must have asked SS to arrange the release of Raymond Davis asap and he was realeased today:)
