Shah Rukh Khan is to appear as a guest on BBC One show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.
This will be the first time a Bollywood star has appeared on mainstream UK television to promote an upcoming release.
According to a BBC press release, the actor will appear as a guest on the February 5 edition - one week prior to the release of his movie My Name Is Khan. TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has also been confirmed for the same show.
My Name Is Khan is based upon a true story about a San Francisco based Muslim with Asperger syndrome. It is directed by Karan Johar.
Shilpa Shetty is the only other Indian star to have been interviewed by Jonathan Ross; after her Celebrity Big Brother win in 2007.
