No Hinna what happened was materials such as organza, net etc were totally stretched and the “akar pan” or the starchiness is gone from them. Allah ka shukar hai it was only a couple of pieces like that but still now those two suits are almost unwearable unless go back to Pak and get newer stuff to match it.

^ Oh okay. Well I guess the next option would be to handwash the clothes in a delicate detergent.

a few yrs back, my mom also took her beaded kaam wala suit to a desi dry cleaners, and all the motis melted onto her suit, completely runing it, so definitely do not take it to any dry-cleaners, desi or non-desi
