I need inspiration for my wedding.
I am having a girls dance party instead of mehndi. what kind of music can we play here?

ans what about the barat reception party? and also some inspiration for the walima, that I can pass over to my future hubby?:slight_smile:

Chameli, it all depends on your music choice and what you like. I am InshaAllah going to have a regular mehendi and want to start off with modern day songs (deedar day, say na say na from the movie bluff master i think, channa ve ghar aja ve etc etc). Then i want to follow with the typical pakistani/indian mehendi songs during the actual ceremony and end the night with some bhangra numbers. This routine is not final yet btw but am leaning towards it.

For the baraat day InshaAllah, I plan to play instrumentals and only play actual songs when he and I walk in.

The walima is being organized by his family so I am not sure what kind of music if any they are going to be there.

I am also thinking about intrumentals for the barat. some slow romantic ones:)

for the girls party I am planning for bhangra songs..some nice dance music

and the walima, thats something his family will coordinate though the song played when we will enter the hall will be one we figure out together.....

Hi!!
on my entrance of the 'rukhsati' my friends played the song 'Kangna' by Shehzaad Roy.. i was pretty against it, but listen to it and it is a nice clean song and totally fits the entrance of the Dulhan!! listen to it and u might like it :) everyone said it was the perfect song!!!

pari - hangama
tere mera pyar - kumar sanu
mere zindagi ki maalik - dotn know the movie
ek din aap - yes boss
dheeme dheeme - zubeida
dulhan dulhan - chameli
just walk into my life - main aisa hi hoon (the first few lines mixed with somethign else)

these are when i could think at the top of my head....im the expert in picking shadi songs....
