please tell me where to do shadi shopping in Pindi and which tailors are good and have reasonable prices–
we also need good jewellers and shops for artifical jewelry..it would be a great help..pleaseeee

for shadi shopping :
where to shop non-designer- lehngas (for barat and valima)
heavy kaam siuts and non-formal suits

which tailor to go to for replicas??

There are alot of places in Pindi where you can shop, you can go to Commercial Market, Saddar, Moti Bazar, Raja Bazar, Kamran Market. And there are a number of shopping malls on the Murree Road, they have beautiful un-stitched and stitched clothes, mehndi/formal dresses especially.

For tailors, you can try the one in Gol (round) market, commercial market.

You can go to Moti bazar and the shops there have the best artificial jewelery with the most beautiful colors and designs. The bargaining process there is also very easy. Else, try the ones in Commercial Market.

For non-designer lehngas you can go to, Fashion ka Ghar (Murree road) or Mohsin Sons ( Moti Bazar, they also have a branch on Murree road ). They have the best lehngas in Rawalpindi. Especially Mohsin Sons makes the most reasonable, fashionable and beautiful lehngas/kaam walay dresses. You can also try the bridal shops in Saddar.

Awesome info Hadeel! Could you also suggest the best place to shop for costume jewellery, I'm especially looking for Polki jewellery for shadi and walima.

Glad I can help. For Polki jewelery you can visit The jewelery shops on Main Murree road, Patiala Jewelers in Moti Bazar (they have a shop on Murree road too), Jawahar or Shafi Jewelers in Super Market (Islamabad).

i was gonna recommend Mohsin and Sons aswell, i got an outfit from them and was impressed by the work, the only negative was that they made a slight alteration and i had to fix it, but then again i wasn't there to see it once over when it was ready, as i had ordered my outfit and come back to the uk.
my cousin ordered her bridal and valima outfits from there and they were beautiful.

I can highly recommend you Mohsin & Sons zari House in Pindi for shadi shopping best place. I did my entire Shadi Shopping there 10 years back, their work is awesome. I went to so many places in Lahore like Anarkali, Liberty and bla bla... it was sort of time waste, I was so glad as I found this place, you simply find eveything under one roof.
I would love to shop there again whenever I go to PK.

The branch of Mohsin Sons thats is Moti Bazar is much much better because its the main/first bridal shop.

ohhh good to know they still have the old shop in Moti Bazar. A couple of years back as my mom went to PK I asked her to buy me some dresses from Mohsin & Sons then she went to Muree Road she was told they have moved to Muree Road. You are maybe right, she came back and told me that she didn’t find anything particular. I found their web site http://mohsinsonz.com/beta/, but so borring they are also using same pic. with designer cloths as everyone els, it would be so great if they could put their own dresses with normal prices.

There are quite a few shops in the same shopping center as Mohsin & Sons (Muree Rd.) in pindi. I would go to all of them. I'd recommend Couples, Vogue and Hussn Boutique. Another good shop is Khan Variety in the adjacent plaza. Lebas & it's affiliate shop called Sosan in F-7, Islamabad are good but pricey. most of these shops require at least one month to complete your order. Vogue and Hussn Boutique tend to be more flexible. good luck!

I went to the one on muree rd, at first the people working there where quite unfriendly until they realised we had a big order lol, but the man that dealt with our order was helpful. i don't know about the one in moti bazaar as i haven't been there :(.
Is it me or do they do a lot of time wasting whilst taking ur order, Im not just talking about mohsin and sons but generally in pak, they sit u down give u drinks and just take there time.

Fancy chiffon wear--->China Market
Cotton+Lawn+Winter suff--->Ghafoor Sons Liqat morr china market
Shoes--->ECS,Stylo and Metro
Jewellery--->Metro shoes and Brand city or City center

I have not given a list of options
Have written what i found the best

mohsin Sons on muree road is much betterfor prices, its my own experience and they have latest designs , theirquality of work is also very gud, and for other formals u can go to kamran market but purana qila will be also helpful for u there u can find the dresses in reasonable prices as compare to other makts,

lastest variety of chiffons is in rabi centre as compare to china but little bit expensive and for cotton u can go to saddar gul ahmed shop and kamran mkt for shoes saddar or commercial bcoz both have same shops like metro stylo they both have gud shoes for weddings as compare to ecs or other
