it's very important, sadly many parents don't realize this. Well if u're not allowed 2 communicate with ure fiance then u know whom 2 blame when things dont go right after shadi... i.e ure elders.
Understanding is so very important, how can u share a bed and spend ure life with a stranger... Islam encourages both partners to talk with eachother before planning 2 tie the knot.

I think there's nothing wrong when two cousins who are getting marrid communicate with each other. I mean, what's wrong in cousins talking with each other? I have two cousins who are getting married to each other, the girl lives in Pakistan and the guy abroad. They chat on msn and the guy calls her on her mobile and everyone knows about this.

I think this is important specially in arranged marriages. my personal experience if its not allowed or either person doenst like it then it can create problems too. even if there are problems then it can help to understand each other rather than just not talk to each other and create more stress what happens after marriage. etc etc.

I am saying this cause I have called off engagement because of this because I think its really important to know eachother in case of arranged marriage. I dont totally like blind marriage.
