i know tonight iA is shab e miraaj ki raat i.e. july 30th is shab e miraj so i will pray tonight. i was wondering if there is a protocol to follow in terms of prayer? do you just pray nafil, or are there orders of sunnats and farz namaaz also to pray? are there any specific dua’s accompanying the prayers?

I think I read somewhere that we shouldn't do anything special on this night. If you normally pray every night, do so on this night as well but there's no need to do anything additional. I don't have a reference for now but may find/post it later.
And did you mean to open this thread in religion forum? If so, I'll move it there as you'll get better responses there.

Yes. There's a thread currently open in Religion on this very subject. One should pray as usual. There is no special ibaadah for tonight.

Teggy, thanks for pointing us to the other thread. That confirms what I said that one should not pray especially because of this night. One can pray in general as you would normally pray other salahs but to pray because it's the lailat-ul-miraj is not acceptable.
