Which brand is the best in terms of spiciness, and enhancing flavor of dish whilst not giving a grainy or overpowering feel to the food.? We have an aunt that goes back and forth from Pakistan and she is always raving about how everybody uses National in Pakistan because its more spicy, then the next time she went she said that everybody there was using Shan because it was more spicy, so she left me confused when she changed her brand in the story… over here abroad we use more of Shan and thats more popular. And please don’t insult the packet masala, I just use a tbs or so to enhance the flavor.

I really dont care. it could be shan/national. but lately i tried lazeeza biryani, and it was ok but not spicy like shan/national.
