Shaadi Outfit- Please help!

I am getting married later this year and am wondering what to wear.

Someone suggested a farshi garara has a nice traditional look…

What do people usually wear? A one piece or a two piece? (I keep getting confused which one is a garara and which one is a sharara…

I have also seen pics. of a longish shirt, how does that look. I was thinking then I could wear it again with a pyjama at a later time…

Re: Shaadi Outfit- Please help!

thanks for these, but I have been going over these pages for a while. The thing is the descriptions alwats say lehnga, which I take to mean a one piece- like a skirt. But the darzi is saying something about a farshi 2 piece.

SO I am wondering do people wear that and how does it look?

Re: Shaadi Outfit- Please help!

Farshi is simply referring to a type of style .... it just means trailing. You can get a lehnga (just a skirt) gharara (skirt with legs) or sharara (skirt with legs except in this case the legs get flared from the knee down) or a pajama. you can get all of these in the farshi style.
wear any of these with a top of your choice, short, long .... whatever flatters you best.
hope this helps. :)
