Shaadi Jewlery

Salaam everyone

I posted a thread a few months ago, about not wanting to make an entrance at the engagement lols. Well I ended up making an entrance after all, and alhumdulilah it wasn’t too nerve wracking haha. So now the dilemma of wedding budgets and shopping are starting. I’m the only child and the first to get married in our family, so we are pretty clueless as it gets right about now. So expect a lot more threads started by me LOL. My first question is regarding shaadi jewlery, gold specifically. I wear hijab so I don’t see the point of spending so much on a full gold set no one will see again after the shaadi. I was just thinking of getting a rani haar and chooriyan made. Any thoughts, ideas, or tips would be greatly appreciated

Dats d two of us nn21;)
As far as jewellery is concerned its my personal opinion to go for a lighter set dat can be reused, like a more delicate neckpiece with heavy jhumkhas or something... Cuz there really wudnt b too many occasions where one cud wear heavy jewellery
If u like u cud also wear maybe ur moms or grandmothers wedding jewellery, dat brings in so much of sentimental values n antique jewellery looks really pretty... Only if u like dat sort of jewellery
Or u cud even go fr an imitation piece... Dat way u cud wear d kind of jewellery u want without having to hav to find ways to reuse it

Hi @nn21 when is your wedding? Oh and do you live in pakistan? Because i was wondering where in karachi i could get some good quality clutches and shoes... Im looking for brands like charles and keith... They have great quality and prices dont reach the roof;)
I also wanted a good reliable jeweller in karachi... :)

Gold earrings and all can be made, but you will only use them in female only gatherings if you remove your hijab.

Churiyan is a great option. Get a nice 6-8 bangles made. (I'm not sure how many are traditionally worn by brides) These bangles can be used after your wedding too. Get a nice dainty gold teeka made too. You can always wear it to other functions with your churiyan.

A rani haar sounds amazing!

Thank you everyone for your ideas! Sadly I'm in the US, so budget is playing a huge part of it. The dainty gold teeka idea sounds lovely! :)
