Shaadi Halls

any recommendations for Good Shaadi Halls around Mississauga and area..??
i know about ‘Bombay Palace’ … it’s ok…
and i heard ‘Havelli’(spell?) sucks pretty much…not spacious and food is pretty bad too… is it right?
anyone?

Re: Shaadi Halls

Try woodbine banquet hall, I love it, food and services are great as well. Haveli is okay, its a family gathering place, for having lil parties I would say. You can not accomadate more than few hundred ppl, and food is ok (buffet is just bad, don't even think about it).

Bombay Palace is another okay place, I don't like it much, cuz of location and how it has been built.

Re: Shaadi Halls

Hold the whole function in your bedroom. Your friend can fit in too.

Re: Shaadi Halls

^ is that suppose to be funny??

*pagaldeewani *.. have u ever heard about 'Bella Gardens'?

Re: Shaadi Halls

yourfriend, I've attended a million weddings at Bella. It's a nice and cozy li'l place, but I wouldn't recommend it for weddings. It probably would be better if someone did a mehndi there.
The biggest problem is mosquitos. (It's located in the midst of a forest.) Their service isn't all that great either.

Woodbine is awesome, like pagaldeewani said. That's where I had my wedding, so I can vouch for it. It's not in mississauga though.

There are tons of banquet halls in 'sauga. Payal Banquet hall is pretty good. You should get your hands on the "East West Directory". It has a listing of all the desi businesses in the GTA, so you can call them up and arrange to go and see the halls.

Re: Shaadi Halls

Thanks

u r right about the directory and i can look into it but it won't tell me about their services n stuff... u know 'Reputation' counts a lot....as i noticed many guppians from GTA around here..so i just decided to get your inputs as well....
i heard about Woodbine too... will definitely check it out.... but the problem is i am not looking for one.... i am looking for Three... different ones for different occasions...

Re: Shaadi Halls

Then go for Woodbine, Payal as CB suggested, and now for the third one, you might have to look for it urself or wait for more suggestions. I heard Payal is good too, I have never been to Bella Garden, but have heard about it.

Re: Shaadi Halls

woodbine is a nice hall....but last year my brother had his wedding there....the next day quite a number of our guests ending up getting sick..some sort of food poisoning from the food in the hall...also they dont use fresh meat...most of their meat is frozen.....so i would be careful...
this year for my other brother's wedding, we are doing it on Sangan....i went to a wedding this summer..and it was awesome....good food and atmosphere.

my family friends own bella gardens...its good for a mehndi (thats where my bro's mehndi was)..and only in the summer....its 2 portions..the ladies were upstairs and the men downstairs....it was good it was separate, so we danced the night away....and its in a secluded area, so we made all the noise we wanted and all the fireworks as well....in the summer my cousin had his wedding there, and for the baraat he came in on a helicopter...really cool!!
