How do you work on making them more sexy? Obviously waxing or whatever, but I mean just keeping the skin smooth, decreasing ingrowns, etc

Permanent hair removal. Laser is fine for the underarms although it won't give 100% results. Once you have only a little hair left, you can switch to shaving and never have to worry about ingrowns again. Your skin will thank you.
Underarms have a tendency because of the sweat and the products we use to trap tiny clothing fibres in the creases of the skin, so exfoliating helps a lot in this regard too.
I use a 10% glycolic acid face wash and every few days in the shower I use it on my armpit skin too. Gets them really clean and smooth.
