Re: sexuality....

Metrosexual is not a sexual orientation. Its a way of dressing.

Re: sexuality…

^^ ahaan true but apparently it has smething to do with ur sexuality 2…i read it smewhere and heard abt it on tv…can give any references sorry…coz i cant remember them,

Re: sexuality....

No it has nothing to do with your sexuality. Either you are heterosexual, bisexual, or homosexual. Although some people have come up with alternate classifications.

Metrosexual is not a sexual orientation classification, and it doesn't necessarily correlate with homosexuality either.

Re: sexuality....

meterosexual = more feminine men :) Im glad to be a totally and completely heterosexual male.

Re: sexuality....

Some df's I came across with a quick simple google search:

A straight man who embraces the homosexual lifestyle, i.e. refined tastes in clothing, excessive use of designer hygiene products, etc.

**You might be "metrosexual" if:

  1. You just can't walk past a Banana Republic store without making a purchase.

  2. You own 20 pairs of shoes, half a dozen pairs of sunglasses, just as many watches and you carry a man-purse.

  3. You see a stylist instead of a barber, because barbers don't do highlights.

  4. You can make her lamb shanks and risotto for dinner and Eggs Benedict for breakfast... all from scratch.

  5. You only wear Calvin Klein boxer-briefs.

  6. You shave more than just your face. You also exfoliate and moisturize.

  7. You would never, ever own a pickup truck.

  8. You can't imagine a day without hair styling products.

  9. You'd rather drink wine than beer... but you'll find out what estate and vintage first.

  10. Despite being flattered (even proud) that gay guys hit on you, you still find the thought of actually getting intimate with another man truly repulsive."Some people think he's gay, but he's actually metrosexual."**

Re: sexuality....

lol...does a certain mark out of 10 make you metrosexual or does anyone of them make you metrosexual...cos i can imagine at least one of those points applying to most men...

By the way PCG... u mentioned that the only sexual classifications are heterosexual, bisexual and homosexual...
There is also Asexual...asking who follows this orientation might be a more interesting question...

Re: sexuality…

lol…my bro-in-law is totally metro-sexual!!

Re: sexuality....

Homosexuality was invented by a straight world dealing with its own bisexuality. But finding this difficult, and preferring not to admit it, it invented a pariah state, a leper colony for the incorrigible whose very existence, when tolerated openly, was admonition to all. We queers keep everyone straight as whores keep matrons virtuous.
—Kate Millett, Flying, part 1, 1974

According to this lesbian broad, all straight people are bisexuals.

Re: sexuality....

Oh God, except #9 and partially #10, everything fits my hubby's profile. I can't wait to break it to him that he is metro-sexual. I am sure the poor thing does not even know what Metrosexual is:)

Re: sexuality....

Are people classifed biologically as "asexual"?

Give examples of where a human would act like bacteria and reproduce on its own or not reproduce at all.

Dope - there are some theories that add other classifications which allow for people who behave one way and fantasize another way to be categorized separately for example. I once read somewhere that most people have fantasized about their own gender at some point or another - maybe that's what your lesbian quoter there is referring to.

Re: sexuality…

All I need to know in this thread. :snooty:

Re: sexuality....

lol PCG please dont start telling me about what is defined biologically...
Alternatives to heterosexuality are lifestyle choices not biologically determinants...
So asexuality is a choice of frigid girls who are afraid to have sex...nothing biological i agree...
And asexuality is an action...Even if you by the fact that there is a gay gene and some people may be inclined to being somewhat gay...acting upon it makes you gay...this is a lifestyle choice...
