I had 20 weeks scan couple of weeks ago! On that day I didn’t drink enough water and during the scan the picture wasn’t quite clear to get baby checking done. My sonographer then told me to drink some water n walk around for 5/10 mins then they will call me back.
I had more than 500 ml of water and waited around 20-30 mins for my turn. During that time my bladder started to feel full n I was also gettin sick. My hubby nearly freaked out when I suddenly did my sickness cough (LOL) and I ran to the nearest toilet.
After clearing myself up, I was called inside. This time it was much clearer to see the baby. She took notes then came the big moment when she asked do we want to know the sex?! I was so nervous n excited! She pokes with scanner to get the baby to change position n get the baby to open legs.. After playin for a while, she said I can see three lines n said it LOOKS like a girl.. She was still looking n still leaning for a girl as that’s what they usually look for in a girl!
But she still needed pictures for baby other parts which they check for 20 week scan. But because my little one was being stubborn, not moving, she asked me to come again!
The next time, I was fully prepared with bladder and did the scan.. She checked on the parts which were left during last appt. I asked her again though it was different lady, the baby still didn’t open legs but she said its PROBABLY** a girl! Again they were not sure as she could see lines!! I said how sure are you? She said she can’t say 100% but it looks like a girl as she can see three lines and legs weren’t open n she couldn’t see a willy!
Now m nearly entering my third trim n need to start shopping! What shall I buy pink or blue?!??
it was similar with my first. don't limit yourself. buy gender neutral things, but get them in different colors. there is so much variety. red, yellow, orange, green, white, brown, etc all these colors work well for both genders.
I have done a bit of research on this and for some it's a surprise result at the end of it! lol I don't know what to think for mine! Just want a healthy normal baby Inshallah! And of course healthy normal delivery. But still shopping is confusing!
wht u mean by with my FIRST? do you have another baby? omggg I am so happy for you... btw why I cant see ur blopg entries

ps. I knew I was having a boy. I went shopping with my parents, it was almost 100F that day. I got a diaper pail with pink lid. I knew something was not right. I couldn't figure out what was bothering me until a week after the baby was born. I had a c-section so couldn't really go out and exchange for a different color. Hubby thought I was crazy. I am over the color now.
However, when I was choosing bedding and accessories, I bought all neutral colors and themes.
congratulations x i was the same with dd, wasnt 100% after my scan but after hitting 22wks i put weight on thighs hips n bum i jus knew it was a pink bump… i didnt go pink mad i just bought colourfull eyecatching stuff that can be used for boy or girl like bedding for the crib and cot all frm mamas and papas… best buy ever as im expecting a boy this tym round x lol
I went for my scan at 16+ weeks and Doc said she would not tell me if she was not sure - baby had legs closed. I think you should relax and wait for your next scan. Else there are adorable neutral outfits too.
