Why is it that if watching these movies and mature audience stuff is not allwoed in islam but still there to thousands of video stores in pakistan and all over muslim nations? Where ppl know they can find the porno they want.
First of all whatever people are doing its their fault not a fault in Islam.
Islam is law of the Supreme "Allah". It is for our own benefit of this world and life hereafter. Men/Women has desires, its upto him/her to fulfil it by following its 'nufs' or by following Islam. To do sex with your wife is sadqah, and to comit an adultary is a major sin. Allah does not want us to supress our basic desires but he wants us to fulfil them according to Islam.
Now question is why it is happening in Pakistan, islamic countries, and in general all over the world. There are many causes but main cause is that our Iman/Beleif is weak. We say we love Allah but in reality we don't. We need to increase our iman in Allah first. We need to bring Islam in our life. There is lot that I want to say on this subject, but I will leave it to others....

A man came to the Prophet (saw) and said "I would like to commit adultery". The Prophet(saw) didn't answer. Three times the man repeated this question to the Prophet(saw). Eventually, the third time the Prophet(saw). said in an angry tone; "Would you like for your mother to commit adultery or your sister?" The man replied "no". then the Prophet said; "The woman you commit adultery with will be someone's mother or sister. Do not do that deed which you would not like done to yourself."
The above is a hadith which I am reciting from memory so do not hold me accountable for any inaccuracies. It's the best I could remember.
This is the islamic position. Now you people are talking about rape and crimes against women in Pakistan, so do you think this comes from Islam?
Look at your parents and Grandparents? Do they look more capable of committing rape and adultery or is it today's westernised society?
My parents came from Pakistan and they were nothing like the Americanised Pakistanis of today. They were 100 times better than me and that is why I don't like to see their values get dragged through the mud just so some modern day "humanists" can score points against Islam.
Look honestly at Pakistan's materialistic culture today and ask yourselves where this culture comes from?

Islam is not a new concept or a religion which was only born 1400 years ago. It was merely reinstated by our beloved Messenger, Muhammad (salallaahu 'alaihi wa ssalam). The religion itself dates back in time to Prophet Aadam (alaihi salaam). No doubt since the first man, the years have rolled by to witness changes and evolutions of society and technology. However, this has not changed the concept of God and how Islam teaches to worship Him alone, without ascribing any partners to Him. Similarly, Divine Laws of 15 centuries ago cannot be altered for the advancement in technology and the instability of society that we see today.
The social problems 1400 years ago were as bad as they are now, with the only difference being that there were no televisions or media to influence and propagate such haraam acts. The pilgrims before that period used to circulate the Ka'ba naked, married couples used to swop partners with others, and female babies were still being burried alive in some parts of the Arabian peninsular. Clearly these were indescent and barbaric acts, but it was not propagated in such a wide scale because there was no medium to do so, namely the television.
The introduction of Islaam (or rather reintroduction), changed all these social evils, but today society has returned to the 'ignorant period', because we have lost eemaan and all hope in Allaah.
The Laws of Allaah are not there to be tampered with by any Tom Dick and Harry. Otherwise everyone will be trying to regulate by their own understanding, and things will turn out worse than spaghetti junction. The Laws of Allaah are in finality as the Prophet salallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam explained and taught, and they cannot be changed or altered in any way to suit human perspectives and desires.
"Today i have completed my favour upon you, and have chosed Islaam as your Deen."
The Divine laws are moving completely along with the times, but it's the people who are slacking.

Even King Fahd of Saudi Arabia proposed in 1983 that a global theological review of Islamic law be undertaken in the spirit of ijtihad, despite formal doctrine in his country which rejects any novel innovations after the eighth century.
1)Target the Sharia first to revise discriminatory laws against women & minorities.
2)Revise Islamic code of human rights to encompass/accept the Universal codes of Human Rights.
The ultra-orthodox theologians & mullahs that CONTROL Islam will never agree to the above 2 points. You know, why? Because they will never, never surrender the high previleges that they have bestowed on themselves.
The above two points is a starter; there are civil revisions or interpretations required to the concept of:
3)Non-believers;
4)Jehad & Paradise;
As it stands presently - the Fundamentalist Sunni orthodoxy has decreed all those who oppose (i) Quran and (ii) Sunnah as being kafir or non-believer. Under this edict all non-sunnis and non-muslim countries are 'non-believers.
Non-believers are, as a rule, subject to endless Jehad (holy war), until they are absorbed into the 'fundamentalist orthodoxy' or destroyed.
Use of Force and taking of a life is sanctioned and even glorified for those who take up the cause of Jehad; and the tantalizing reward is eternal paradise with virgin hoars (females) for their pleasure.
5)Indoctrinations subjecting fundamentalists to bondage or slavery to their mullahs & ulemas; any criticism is considered heresy; a follower cannot leave the religion on his own - to do so is apostasy punishable by death.
The above points #3, 4 and 5 has relegated Fundamentalist Islam to being a cult or movement in terro, and, NOT a religion.
Finally, I'll re-emphasize again that - All religions are 'words of God perfected for their followers' but those words need to reflect the changing times and circumstances, severely lacking in today's Fundamentalist Islam.

My dear Asif : If civil revisions adds Tolerance & Compassion to your Fundamentalist dogma then surely you are richer for it.

You guys are arguing about the status of islam and muslims in the world. Well Islam has been given a bad name by no other then these muslim fundamentalist we have which call themselves true muslim yet they dont follow basic law " live n let live'
e.g is the islamic taliban group in afghanistan, islamic group of Algeria( who just bomb and kill other muslims), PLO ( which just bombs planes and car bombs etc..),
then we have Internal groups in pakistan who just call themselves muslims yet they kill other muslims e.g being the shia group os (ahliyan or some Ali)and on the other side we got the Sipa-e-sahaba-islam who are yet the same :)
muslims fight amongst themselves more than they fight any non muslim (iran Vs Iraq, Iraq Vs Kuwait)

Islam hasent changed much since it was born.
But PPl have changed their Islam to wotever they feel like. Words of Quran have been the same since the begining its just the meanings have been changed by the ppl.
e.g In faith for Shia'zm there is a though that one if the First 3 Caliphs changed Quran and took about particular Material on the Someone from Quran and reduced it to 30 parts from some higher number before.
Another e.g is of that some sect in islam believing about being from the family of Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) But yet still say that the generation of a guy carries on Only from the Son and not the daughter.
I guess Muslims goto get their act and beliefs straight first before they Point their fingers on any non-muslims.

As far as I can recall, the thread was about pornography and adultery, so this hadith seems quite appropriate. None of you seemed to disagree where pornographic material originates from so I take it you agree with me?
PeerSimms if there are Pakistani versions and Indian versions what does that tell you? That we are becoming more islamic? Or more broad-minded maybe? How broad-minded are you prepared to get? Again, think in terms of the hadith I mentioned because this is the Islamic position so if you want to debate then you have to address it rather than straying onto other subjects like mullahs and jihad (applies more to aDbulmaliCk).
In Punjab porno movies are called “blue print”. Sometime also referred to as “totay” (literal translation: pieces). In good old days, some movies cinemas will show some good “totay” during the show. Everyone seemed to liked that. Some blueprints are better than some other. Although mostly it gets boring after a while, as they repeat the same thing over and over again.
