I've just recieved a letter from the school saying that the kids are to be taught sex ed soon. And if you preffered not to have your child take part in this class you need to give a reason. I think they are too young at 10 years old. What do you think? What would you do for the best?

At age 10 the schools don't really give them all the details they do keep it proper to their age. I went through the whole american school system and my parents were okay with those classes.

I think in 4th grade we did a sex education thing also but basically they seperated the girls and boys, the girls talked about mentration and changes in our body and how to deal with periods and things. I don't know what the boys did lol probably about wet dreams and whatnot.

Don't worry, at age 10 i doubt they are gonna show them porno or something.

You can ask the teacher if you want to know for sure, but I think these classes were helpful, better then having to ask embarrassing questions later or look it up on the internet or something.
