Severe headache

for the past few weeks my wife has been having severe headaches…usually these headaches are at night time…we thought maybe its the heat that is bothering her and someone advised us to get the humidifier and it did help a bit..but lately she is having these headaches again…so i took her to the doctor and he said it could be migrane…she took the medicine but its not really helping…so i talked to the doc again and i am thinking bout ct scan now..i just hope its nothing serious…could it be the cold weather? she has lived in karachi all her life..could it be the eye sight? anyone experienced this?

Have you tried taking her to an Eye Doctor? Im afraid i cant spell their correct name, but when i went through migrane like headaches, my GP advised i get my eyes tested.

Headaches can be for many reasons. If I go out in cold without a hat, I will get a headache for sure. It's better to get the CT scan done if the Dr. has advised it.

Does she have sensitivity to light and sound when the headache happens? It sounds like a migraine. My mom has such severe headaches/migraines from time to time and the doctor has prescribed her medicine which she takes as soon as she feels an onset. Do get the ct scan done though, just to make sure and be on the safe side.

I am sure it's being married to u that's giving her the headaches.

On the second thought if it is a migraine like Sehar said
tell her to take the medecine as soon as she feels the headache coming.
Is it only on one side of her head?

ahmedjee...i am not sure if there was a specific thread bout the shadi..but some people were aware of it...probably the ladies of gs :0

imo
it's defenitely a migraine.

What medecine did the doc give her?

I take Axert (by prescription) and that helps.
Also excedrin migraine seems to help.
Does she wear contacts? I get migrains when I overwear my contacts. \
